FarmSource® is an initiative that helps us find and partner with some of the finest food growers and producers in our communities. Through FarmSource®, as much as 20 percent of the food we serve is provided exclusively by local sources.
FarmSource® produce is sourced within 150 miles of our local distributors. We select these growers through farmer-based organizations.
FarmSource® dairy products come from farms located within 150 miles of their milk processing facility. These dairies are independently owned and operated by local families who choose not to treat their cows with rBGH (bovine growth hormone). The result: deliciously natural, hormone-free milk.
FarmSource® meat is produced regionally. These facilities are USDA-inspected and source their animals from farms that are within a three-hour drive of the processing facility.
FarmSource® artisan producers devote their time, energy and passion to crafting a limited line of products that are high in quality and unique in flavor. Often, artisan producers have but a single product line, created at a single facility.
