CSE basketball kicks off with Midnight Madness celebration

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – The College of Saint Elizabeth campus community officially opened up basketball season Thursday night with the annual Midnight Madness celebration at St. Joseph’s Hall.

The hoops fest included music, contests, prizes to welcome the 2012-13 Screaming Eagles women’s team. One of the highlights was the current Screaming Eagles taking on members of the CSE staff.

This year’s CSE hoopsters is under the direction of head coach Nicole Degenhardt for the second year. Last year the Screaming Eagles advanced to the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championships and posted a 16-10 overall record.

This year’s CSE women’s basketball team opens the 2012-13 season at Ramapo College on Mon., Nov. 26 at 6 p.m. The Screaming Eagles make their St. Joseph’s Hall debut three days later on Thurs., Nov. 29 when Division powerhouse New York University arrives for a 7 p.m. contest.
