Volleyball and Soccer Host Think Pink Night

Volleyball and Soccer Host Think Pink Night

The soccer team as well as the volleyball team hosted Think Pink nights this month. The Think Pink games are a chance for the Screaming Eagles to honor the victims of breast cancer, collect donations that go toward cancer research and increase awareness of this terrible disease.

The soccer team hosted their Think Pink game on October 19 with a game against Cobleskill. The athletes wore pink socks and pink shoelaces to show their support for breast cancer victims. The team also had pink balloons with them which were hung around the soccer field.

Volleyball hosted their Think Pink night on October 24 vs. John Jay.  Similar to soccer, the volleyball team wore pink socks as well as pink shoelaces. Pink balloons were also placed throughout the gym. After each set, raffle tickets were drawn, with the winner receiving a pink Screaming Eagles t-shirt.

Think Pink has become an annual tradition for each team and will continue to support the fight against breast cancer in the future.
