Nicole Rios selected as NEAC student-athlete of the week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in the sports of baseball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, softball, men’s tennis and men’s volleyball for the period ending March 17, 2013. These are the first set of spring selections for tennis and include all spring matches played thus far.

Nicole Rios (Manalapan, N.J.) has been selected as the NEAC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week after a strong outing for the College of Saint Elizabeth Screaming Eagles. The junior defender tallied a game-high seven caused turnovers while also scooping up six groundballs to help the Screaming Eagles to a thrilling 18-17 season-opening victory over Elms College Thursday. Rios also tallied a draw control in the win.
