CSE Swim Dominates New Rochelle

The College of St. Elizabeth swim team dominated the College of New Rochelle, defeating the Blue Angels 121-63 on Saturday.

CSE took home the first event when the relay team of Ashley Sicsko, Alexandra Budd, Caitlin Potter, and Carleigh Gallardo won the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 2:18.49. Budd also took home the second event, winning the 1000 yard freestyle in 13:06.25.

Maria Corall continued her dominate swimming, winning the 200 yard freestyle in 2:23.90, over 23 seconds better then second place. She continued her winning ways in the 100 yard butterfly, winning the event in 1:21.74. She capped off her night with yet another victory in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 6:28.70, besting second place by almost a full minute.

Veronica Lubsen took home the 50 yard freestyle in a time of 29.97. Caitlin Potter finished second in the same event with a time of 31.02. Lubsen also won the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:06.63. Potter added a first place finish to her resume, winning the 100 yard backstroke in a time of 1:12.13. Alexandra Budd capped off the meet for the Eagles, winning the 100 yard breaststroke in a time of 1:28.40.

The Eagles finish up their season when they travel to Cazenovia, New York for the NEAC Championships, February 14-16.
