The College of Saint Elizabeth celebrates Valentine’s Day early with an evening of poetry and art, Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at 7 p.m. Fifteen poets featured in the February issue of the Adanna Literary Journal Love Poetry Anthology will read their love poems in the upper lobby of Annunciation Center on campus. The event features light refreshments. Guests are also welcome to visit the Therese A. Maloney Art Gallery, which is presenting an exhibition until April 15, 2012, The Abstract Universe: Microcosm/ Macrocosm, showcasing abstract paintings, sculptures, prints, photographs, DVDs, and mixed media work that reveal a love affair between art and science. The event organizer is Lynne McEniry, CSE division coordinator in Academic Affairs and a published poet. Poets participating in the event include Lynne McEniry, Fawzia Afzal-Khan, Elliott BatTzedek, David Crews, Grace Curtis, Ariana D. Den Bleyker, Juditha Dowd, Michelle Lerner, Grace Marcus, John McDermott, Michelle Ovalle, Susanna Rich, Christine Redman-Waldeyer , Edwin Romond, and Dave Worrell.
Christine Redman-Waldeyer founded the Adanna Literary Journal Love Poetry in 2011. She currently teaches creative writing, journalism, and literature at Passaic County Community College. She holds a doctorate with a Concentration in Writing from Drew University. Her publications include Frame by Frame, Gravel, and Eve Asks with Muse Pie Press. She is a participant in the Poetry Project founded by Dr. Mary Ann Miller at Caldwell College.
