CSE Finishes 5th at NEAC Championships

CSE Finishes 5th at NEAC Championships

The Screaming Eagles had a very strong showing at the NEAC Championships this past weekend, finishing with 302 points, good enough for 5th place.

The Eagles got things started on Sunday, when Veronica Lubsen got a 3rd place finish in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:00.28, just being edged out by 2nd by less than .3. Jennifer Scully took home a second place finish in the 200 butterfly, touching the wall in a time of 2:42.61. Carleigh Gallardo also competed and took home a 6th place finish in the same event with a time of 3:20.72.

 CSE ended the 2014 NEAC Championships with a 6th place finish in the 400 freestyle relay, when threlay team of Alexandra Budd, Carleigh Gallardo, Caitlin Potter, and Jennifer Scully finished in a time of 4:34.90.

 Wells College won their 3rd straight women’s NEAC Championship with 444 points. CSE finished in 5th place with 302 points.
