Safety training and awareness is provided to each new student during the orientation period. Additional fire safety training and awareness is provided to all resident students during their initial stay in the dormitory. Fire drills are conducted periodically at the residence halls which are monitored by the local fire department.
The Safety Committee is a subcommittee of the College's Emergency Task Force. This committee was established by the Dean of Students Office to address the changing safety needs of the campus community. Resident students are members of this committee.
