When there is a need for emergency assistance by Police, Fire, or Medical Personnel, dial “911” from any public or campus phone to reach the Florham Park Police. Report the nature of the emergency and give the location on campus. Also notify Campus Security at x-4090 so they know exactly where to direct emergency personnel.
If the emergency is in the Residence Halls, call the Director of Residence Life (x4130) or the Residence Life Coordinator (x4184) during office hours or the AD on duty in the evening (x2050). If it’s not a residence hall emergency, report the information to the Dean of Students office (x4204) during office hours or to Campus Security (x-4090) in the evening. Additionally, if a medical emergency occurs, contact the Wellness Center (x4175) during office hours. For Emergency Maintenance Service: Contact the Facilities Office (x4331) from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. At other times, the residence life staff member on duty can contact the appropriate emergency maintenance personnel.
Prompt reporting of incidents on campus, enables the Vice President for Finance and Administration and the Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students to issue timely warnings to the campus community, if deemed necessary. In all cases, both emergency and non-emergency, a CSE Incident Report should be completed within 24 hours of an event and forwarded to the Vice President for Finance and Administration. Copies of the Incident Report form are available in all major department offices on campus.
