The College of Saint Elizabeth has been presented with a long-awaited and significant opportunity to build an athletic field on its campus. Through a partnership with the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth and the Academy of Saint Elizabeth, this shared resource will provide a space on the College campus for our soccer and lacrosse student athletes to practice and host home games. The College seeks to raise $400,000 toward the proposed total project budget of $1,037,324.
A continuing challenge our student-athletes face is the practice and game travel to an off-campus site for soccer and lacrosse. The disadvantages of having to use a rented off-campus facility include not only time and transportation issues, but it also imposes associated financial costs and impedes campus unity that is a foundation of our mission.
Contributions to support this initiative will strengthen student and athletic staff interaction, broaden campus life experience and conserve institutional financial resources by eliminating the many challenges of using off-campus fields.
A fundraising effort is now underway for the Soccer/Lacrosse field project. Each gift large and small will make a difference!

A dramatic renovation demonstrates CSE's continued commitment to science education for women.
The sounds of hammers and other construction equipment were heard throughout the summer at the College of Saint Elizabeth, as the Phase I renovation of the biology facilities, made possible by a generous alumna donation, got underway.
Phase I of the renovation project includes a general laboratory classroom, a microbiology classroom and a laboratory preparatory area.
As the first and now only remaining women's college in New Jersey, we will be encouraging young women to pursue careers in science with state-of-the-art facilities and promoting our mission to these young scientists.
Says Dr. Lillian Fugler-Domenico, Chair of the Biology Program, "The biology department focuses on the CSE mission to foster social responsibility in our students. We educate them to go back into the community to make an impact on society. We want them to become young scientists and have a major role in this world."
The new updated labs will help foster and encourage growth in the sciences at CSE.
This rendering by RBA Group illustrates the general biology/microbiology laboratories and the laboratory preparation area. Plans are under consideration to renovate the remaining three laboratories and the faculty office area, but we need your help to complete the department renovation plans.
Consider a gift this year to Phase II of the renovation project. Phase I was fully funded by a generous anonymous donor. A fundraising effort is now underway for Phase II of the project. Each gift large and small will make a difference!
