Making History

The College of Saint Elizabeth's Department of Athletics reinstated Cross Country as a NCAA varsity sport in the Fall of 2008. The Screaming Eagles travel to various locations to run in 5K or 6K invitationals along with facing North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) opponents in a championship meet held in late October. Annually, the Eagles enter in invitationals located at Ramapo, DeSales, Monroe, as well as invitationals held by NEAC Schools.

In the 2013 season, the Eagles ran competitively even though there was only 5 runners on the roster. In the first meet of the season at the Monroe Invitational, Alexandra Budd lead the team with a 7th place finish with a time of 23:42.87. Kelly O'Dell lead the way in the next race finishing in 38th place with a time of 23:05. That time would prove to be the top time for the Eagles this season. In the NEAC Championships on November 2nd, CSE finished in 10th place with a combined score of 259. Budd lead the way for the Eagles, finishing in 24th place with a time of 24:45.
