Morristown, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth athletic department will be announcing a Screaming Eagle Student-Athlete of the Week Award. This award will go to the student-athlete who has excelled athletically for the week prior and is in good academic standing.
The Screaming Eagle Student-Athlete of the Week award is presented to freshman Katie Cooper for the week ending on September 5, 2011. In her first game of the season Cooper totaled 8 kills, 2 serving aces and 10 digs against Cedar Crest. Cooper single-handedly kept the Eagles in the mix against William Paterson with an outstanding 18 kill, 6 dig performance.
Cooper broke the College of Saint Elizabeth’s record for total kills in a three set match. She is now second in total kills in a match and third in attacking percentage.
