The College of St Elizabeth's lacrosse team fell at SUNYIT 16-4 on Saturday.
Kelly O'Dell got the Eagles off to a quick start. blasting a free position shot past SUNYIT, giving the Eagles a 1-0. The Wildcats answered with 2 straight goals before Nicole Rios found the back of the net, tying the game up at 2. The Wildcats however, responded with 6 unanswered goals, opening their lead to 8-2. Kelly O'Dell added another goal late in their half, cutting the lead to 5. SUNYIT added 2 more goals before half taking a 10-3 lead into the break.
Krysta Beha scored 3 straight goals after halftime for the Wildcats, ballooning their lead to 13-3. Amanda Inacio answered with her first goal of the season, bringing the Eagles to within 9. SUNYIT added 3 more goals in the 2nd half, defeating the Eagles 16-4. Beha finished with a SUNYIT record 10 goals on the game.
The Eagles return to action on Sunday when they travel to Buffalo to take on Medaille College at 1 pm.
