The College of Saint Elizabeth was overpowered by Morrisville College, dropping the contest 23-5 on Saturday.
The Eagles found themselves in a deep hole early on, getting behind 5-0 just 5 minutes into the game. Morrisville added 3 more goals before Kelly O'Dell scored the first goal of the game for the Eagles to get within 8-1. The Eagles however saw the game slipping away as Morrisville added 6 more goals before half and taking a 14-1 lead into the break.
In the second half, Amanda Inacio and Nicole Rios scored back to back goals to get the Eagles to within 15-3. Morrisville retaliated with 4 straight goals before Dana Mortensen netted a goal for the Eagles. Amanda Inacio added another goal with just over a minute to play to bring the score to 21-5. Morrisville added 2 more goals late in the half, winning the game 23-5.
CSE returns to action on Sunday when they travel to Cazenovia College at 1 pm.
