Cheyenne Grant became the 11th player in Screaming Eagle’s history to score 1,000 career points on Tuesday night. The senior from Sayerville, N.J., became the first Eagle in the past 3 seasons to reach the 1,000 point plateau.
With 12:05 remaining in the second half, Grant nailed a 3 pointer from the corner, giving her 1,001 points for her career. The game was stopped as Cheyenne was given flowers and took pictures with Coach Degenhardt. Grant was also given a game ball to commemorate her achievement.
Tuesday night was also “Think Pink” night. The Eagles wore pink warm-up shirts as well as pink socks and shoelaces to support breast cancer. The Think Pink games are a chance for the Screaming Eagles to honor the victims of breast cancer, collect donations that go toward cancer research and increase awareness of this terrible disease. The Eagles ended up beating Bryn Aythn 76-62.
