Head Coach

Nicole Degenhardt is the head basketball and softball coach for the Screaming Eagles.  Degenhardt is a graduate of Felician College where she received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, mathematics and special education.  She was the former assistant coach for the girl’s varsity softball team at Secaucus High School.  She was the head coach for both the Montclair 10 and under All-Star Softball Team and the New Jersey Pride 10 and under Fall Ball Team. 

Degenhardt was also the assistant coach for the fifth and sixth grade Secaucus Girl’s Basketball Travel Team. Basketball, volleyball and softball have always been a part of Degenhardt’s life.  Growing up, she was a four year varsity starter for all three sports.  In 2006, she was named the Hudson Reporter Female Athlete of the Year.  She made first team All-State and first team All-County for volleyball.  In addition, she was first team All-League for basketball, volleyball and softball.  Playing four years of volleyball and softball as well as a year of basketball in college was a dream come true for Degenhardt.  Being a captain for both volleyball and softball, she made the All-Tournament team for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).  She was also selected for Second Team for the CACC for both softball and volleyball. 

Degenhardt is currently a high school and middle school math teacher at Wood-Ridge High School.

Assistant Coach

Danielle Dundas

Danielle Dundas has joined the staff as an assistant coach with the Saint Elizabeth women’s basketball team. Dundas received a bachelor’s of science in business with a concentration in sports management from Centenary College. A high school graduate of Holy Family Academy, Dundas was previously the head basketball coach for St. Mary’s and CJ Murphy leagues.  She was also an assistant soccer and basketball coach for Bayonne Recreation.

In high school, Dundas was a four-year starter in basketball, softball and soccer.  During her senior year, she was the captain of each team as well as being named to First Team All-Conference.  She was also honored as the most valuable player in each sport. Dundas broke Holy Family’s softball record of consecutive hits and scored 1,000 points in basketball as a junior.  She broke the school’s record for points scored totaling 1415 points. 

During her time at Centenary, she received multiple honors, including All-Academic Award, Award for Leadership and Commitment, All-Sportsmanship Award and was selected to the All-Conference Second Team for softball in both 2009 and 2010.

Dundas is currently completing an internship at Saint Peter’s University as an assistant to the athletic business administrator and resides in Bayonne, N.J.

Student Assistant 

Jennifer Boschken

Jennifer Boschken is the graduate assistant for the athletic department as well as a student assistant for both the women’s basketball and softball teams.  Boschken is a 2012 graduate of University of Redlands where she played four years of varsity softball.  Boschken helped the program win four Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships and four NCAA Regional Championship appearances.  During her time at Redlands, Boschken worked as a student employee to assist in all aspects of athletic event operations.  She was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee where she was the university liaison between student-athletes and administration.  In addition to athletics, Boschken took part in the Fidelity Isonomy Erudition (FIE) Social Justice Organization as the Siblinghood Chair. She planned community service events and organized social justice information session for the Redlands student body. 

While balancing her athletics and academics, Boschken was an Operations Manager at Our House Restaurant.  As the Operations Manager she created an office accounting system, employee files and maintained payroll, accounting records and inventory.  In addition to working at Our House Restaurant she was also the operations manager for the Davis Graduate Sports Bar & Grill where she had similar responsibilities. 

Boschken was a board member for the Davis Youth and American Softball Associations and holds certifications in ServSafe, First Aid and CPR.  She resides in Madison, New Jersey.
