Class Registration and Academic Skills Testing

All students are required to attend a one day session during the summer in preparation for arrival at CSE. During each “Tune Into CSE” Session you will complete a math placement test, meet with an Academic Advisor and register for the upcoming semester. Click here to register for the session you would like to attend.

All students are also required to complete a writing sample at least 3 weeks prior to prior to attending their Session. This test will be completed online through the CSE MOODLE SITE. You will be able to log into the Moodle site after you have set up your CSE account and have registered for a Tune Into CSE Session.

Please contact Courtney Hartmann at 973-290-4704 / chartmann@cse.edu to set up your advising appointment. If you have not yet completed English Comp I or a 100 level College Math class, you will need to take basic skills testing.

Residence Life Survey

Living on campus is a large part of the total college experience, so we would like to work with you to determine the best possible arrangement. Fill out the Residence Life Questionnaire to help us better facilitate your room and roommate placement.

Financial Aid

Upon payment of your Enrollment Deposit to CSE, you should finalize your financial aid package by submitting all documentation that has been requested by the Financial Aid Office via the Missing Information Letter.  This will ensure that all adjustments to the information you had originally supplied on your FAFSA application form, if any, are accurate and are submitted early enough to state and federal entities to meet their deadlines for federal and state aid eligibility.

Financial Planning:  As part of the Gateway to CSE Session, students and parents will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with a financial aid counselor to review the financial aid package and discuss additional financial resources available. A Financial Planning Worksheet has been provided to assist families in determining how they will finance the expenses for the upcoming academic year. Please print out the form, complete it and bring it with you. The financial aid counselor will review this form with you during your meeting and answer any questions you may have.

Billing

You can view your billing information through Self-Service. You must initialize your CSE account as indicated in Step 1 to successfully login to Self-Service.

Tuition charges are due upon receipt of your invoice. Inquiries about billing or tuition payment plans should be directed to the Business Office at (973)290-4443 or (973) 290-4412 or business@cse.edu

Orientation

Beginning Wednesday, August 21, 2013, there is a three-day Orientation program designed to help you acclimate to our college environment and to help you meet your classmates. Register by Wednesday, August 1, 2013!

Athletics

All students interested in participating in collegiate athletics must complete an athletic pre-participation physical examination form and pre-participation athletic history form with their individual doctor. They must have complete clearance by their doctor and return all completed forms to Dr. Susan Lasker in the Wellness Center via fax at 973-290-4182.

Parking Decal

All students (Resident or Commuter) who plan to park on campus are required to have a parking decal. Submit a a Vehicle Registration form online. Questions? Contact Gloria Ziobro at (973) 290-4603.

Obtain Your CSE Photo ID

All CSE students are required to have an ID. Photos are taken in the Security Office on the lower level of Henderson Hall. Student attending the Tune Into CSE Session will have their photos taken at that time. Please contact Gloria Ziobro at (973) 290-4603 with any questions.

Final Transcript(s)

All first time freshman students need to submit their final official high school transcript. All transfer students or freshman students with college credits must submit their final college transcript to the Office of Admission.

• Download a copy of the High School Final Transcript Request Form and submit to your guidance counselor.
• Download a copy of the College Final Transcript Request Form and return to your college(s) for submission to CSE.

To determine your eligibility for Federal or State funding or to obtain a loan, you need to complete the Free Application for Financial Aid (FAFSA). For any financial questions please contact the Office of Financial Aid at (973) 290-4445 or email James Kulhawy.

Orientation

SPRING 2013
Please contact your admission counselor if you plan to attend in January 2013.

FALL 2013
Please plan to arrive for Orientation on Saturday, August 17, 2013. The best time to arrive at Newark Liberty International Airport would be between 2pm and 4pm. Please register for this event through the Orientation event link and submit an arrival form. We will be able to make arrangements to pick you up from Newark Liberty International Airport. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Kathryn Marafioti in the International and Multicultural Affairs Office at kmarafioti@cse.edu. During Orientation you will take basic skills tests (if necessary) and then have your photo taken for your campus ID card.

Athletics

All potential athletes must fill out an Athletic Pre-Participation Physical Examination Form, have a Pre-participation Athletic History, Physical and clearance completed by their physician prior to arrival at CSE. All forms should be no older than six months. For further information contact Juliene Simpson, Athletic Director at jsimpson@cse.edu.
