Marie G. Exume realizes the College of Saint Elizabeth can give her the future she wants.
Initially recommended to the College by her high school guidance counselor, Exume also heard great things about the College from others. “I decided to do an overnight stay to see if I would like CSE,” she said, “I found that I truly loved the smaller environment and I got the feeling I could do really well here.
She is an involved student at the College and is a member of the College Activity Board and is the Treasurer for Alliance of Education Opportunity Fund for Students of New Jersey. Exume is certain she has received a chance that she probably would have never had at any other school. “I feel I have great opportunity at the College of Saint Elizabeth. I love how the college provides such a small environment. It allows me to really use my voice while I am in classes. Every student has a chance to participate in every classroom discussion and the professors really get to know you.”
At this point, she wants to continue to grow beyond the wealth of education that is at her fingertips. “I love the concept of international business,” she said. “So after I graduate from graduate school, I would love to travel and see the difference in culture and how businesses are run all over the world from a human resource or a global corporation view point.”
“I know that once I receive my degree from the CSE that I will succeed,” she said. “I respect the fact that the College is focused on successful women. They put women out there to be leaders and I know I will become the powerful woman that CSE teaches us to be.”
