The College of Saint Elizabeth offers a quality education in the Catholic tradition with a firm foundation in the liberal arts and a clear focus on preparing students for meaningful lives and rewarding careers.
CSE was founded in 1899 by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, and our mission today reflects the values they gave us—a moral grounding in our Catholic heritage; an emphasis on critical inquiry in the pursuit of knowledge; and a commitment to civic responsibility and social justice.
From those origins, CSE has built a legacy of providing students with an educational foundation for lives of ethical leadership in a wide range of careers and walks of life. Today women and men of all ages and backgrounds come to CSE from 40 countries around the globe for the College’s challenging academics, supportive learning environment, and close-knit community.
CSE is a multifaceted college with programs for women and men of diverse ages and backgrounds. Students have the following options in selecting a program of study that best meets their needs:
The undergraduate Women’s College enables women to gain the knowledge and experience they need to achieve their full potential academically, personally, spiritually, and professionally.
Flexible coeducational evening, weekend, and online programs leading to a bachelor’s degree meet the needs of adult learners seeking to advance their careers. We also offer a separate undergraduate Day Program for adult women.
Evening, weekend and online master’s and doctoral programs are designed to help men and women advance in high-demand fields and professions.
CSE offers coeducational evening, weekend and online programs leading to certification in counseling, education, health care, management, ministry, nutrition and other fields.
