Initial Teacher Certification at CSE

Students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, can earn their initial Teacher Certification at the College of Saint Elizabeth, via the undergraduate education program, the ACT 1 program, and the ACT 3 program. The ACT 2 program and the M.A. in Education lead to second endorsements, typically in Special Education.

Undergraduate students who wish to earn their initial teaching certificate are inducted into the Teacher Education program during the fall of their junior year. Of those students who were inducted into the Teacher Education program in Fall of 2011, 63% will have successfully completed the requirements for their undergraduate degree and initial teacher certification by May 2014.
