CSE@CCM Communication Major

CSE Communication Major with Mass Communication Concentration at County College of Morris

Students who earn their associate of arts degree in communication or journalism from County College of Morris may earn a bachelor of arts degree in communication from College of Saint Elizabeth by taking junior and senior courses at CCM. The program is called "CSE@CCM." All courses except Comm 411 Senior Seminar are taught on the CCM campus.

Journalism Transfer Students

The CSE@CCM communication major offers a 36-credit concentration in mass communication. CSE will transfer up to 96 credits from CCM. Students who earn their 63-credit A.A. in journalism will then take 32 credits of CSE courses and an additional 33 credits from CCM free electives.

CSE communication major requirements (36 credits)

CCM courses included in AA degree counted toward CSE communication degree.

• COMM 270 Visual Storytelling
• COMM 300+ Mass Communication Concentration electives (With adviser approval)(6 credits)
• COMM 395 Professional Apprenticeship
• COMM 405 Communication Law
• COMM 411 Senior Seminar (Must be taken at CSE)

CSE General Education Degree Requirement (3 credits)

• THEO 100+ 100- or 200-level theology course (Tobe taught at CCM)

CSE Upper Divison Outside Area Requirement (11 credits)

• HIS 391 Communication History (Hybrid)
• 300+ Upper division CSE electives (To be taught at CCM)

CCM Free Electives (33 credits)(Advisor approval required. Two courses from communication or media recommended)
