Catherine graduated with a Major in Latin and with Philosophy honors. Her schoolmates voted her "Most Dignified," "Best Natured," and "Most Sincere" in the Class. Catherine received her M.A. from Columbia Teachers College in 1938. She taught at Bayonne Junior and Senior High School.
Catherine was very active in National Alumnae and Essex County Chapter activities, and she served as President of the à Kempis. She worked on promoting the Great Books Program. In addition, Catherine spent considerable time developing her painting skills: she produced work in oils, charcoal, polymer, and watercolors. She presented exhibits of her work in New Jersey and Maine.
For many years Catherine displayed her paintings at showings sponsored by the New Jersey State Medical Society at its annual Atlantic City conventions. She won several prizes at these exhibitions. Catherine received the Mother Xavier Award in 1979. She died on November 7, 1993.
