Carol majored in Mathematics, while also earning a Minor in Secondary Education. Carol, who has been teaching Mathematics at Morristown High School since 1985, has taught basic skills, computer courses, and all levels of secondary Mathematics including AP Calculus. In addition she has been an adjunct professor at CSE in both the Mathematics and Education departments. Carol served as the Alumnae Association's President from 1981-83.
Returning to her alma mater in a student capacity, Carol in 1996 was among the charter recipients of CSE's Master's degrees in Education: Human Services Leadership. That same year, Carol's daughter, Kathleen, graduated from CSE with a B.A. in Mathematics. Carol and her husband, Bill, also have three sons.
Carol's impressive achievements have been widely acknowledged by the larger community. She has received the prestigious Governor's Teacher Recognition Award, a Wiley Scholarship, a Morris Educational Foundation Grant, and a grant from the Sisters of Charity - the last for a landmark program to teach computer applications to inner-city high-school girls.
Carol received the Mother Xavier Award in 1998, and just recently was the Morris County Teacher of the Year Award recipient from Morristown High School.
