Mission Statement

The College of Saint Elizabeth Holocaust Education Resource Center provides a variety of programs, resources, and educational opportunities for study of the Holocaust. It aims to encourage remembrance of the Holocaust and to promote respect for diversity. By providing an opportunity for serious Jewish-Christian Theological dialogue, it is opening doors through which many are experiencing mutual respect and understanding.

The College began its first Kristallnacht commemorations in 1990 and established the Holocaust Education Resource Center in 1994. It was in 1994 that we also began collaborative work with the New Jersey Commission on Holocaust Education for teacher training.

Who We Are

Founded in 1899 by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, the College of Saint Elizabeth has a strong tradition of concern for the poor, for developing leadership in a spirit of service and social responsibility, and a commitment to the promotion of women as full partners in society.
